This thrilling competition invites budding creatives to conceive a groundbreaking marketing or advertising concept for the new TIGGO 4 Pro DCT that Chery South Africa will showcase and run as a real live advertising campaign.

The TIGGO 4 Pro DCT, tailored for trendsetting urbanites aged 25 and above, is a vehicle that embodies sophistication, style, and cutting-edge technology. 

As part of the competition, participants will receive a comprehensive brief and gain access to a wealth of creative assets to fuel their creative process. Follow the steps below to enter and stand a chance to win the prestigious scholarship worth R250,000!

  2. Upon registration, immerse yourself in a world of creative possibilities with a comprehensive brief and access to a treasure trove of assets to ignite your imagination.
  3. Unleash your creativity and craft an awe-inspiring advertising campaign for the new TIGGO 4 Pro DCT, infusing it with your unique flair and vision. This can include concepts or ideas for TV, radio, billboard, print, and/or social media and digital.
  4. Once your masterpiece is complete, upload your final work in any medium that reflects your creativity and showcases your talent before the 16th of August.
  5. Stay tuned to discover if you’re among the 10 lucky finalists! If you’re selected, you’ll have the opportunity to present your brilliant campaign idea to our esteemed panel of judges. Whether you join us in Johannesburg or present online from anywhere in South Africa, your moment to shine awaits!

Terms and Conditions

  1. Promoter: The promoter is Chery International Pty Ltd trading as Chery South Africa.
  2. Eligibility: The Chery Scholarship Challenge is open only to residents of South Africa, with a valid South African ID, aged between 18 and 23 years. Entrants must be eligible to attend, or are currently enrolled, at an accredited tertiary education institution. The competition is not open to employees of Chery South Africa, their suppliers or their agencies, including immediate family.
  3. No Entry Fee: There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  4. Agreement to Terms: By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her/their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  5. How to Enter:
    • Visit and register with your information.
    • Upon registration and acceptance of the terms and conditions, you will receive a brief and materials to assist in creating your advertising campaign concept.
    • Submit your creative advertising campaign concept through the website.
  6. Competition Period: The competition will run from 16 June 2024 to 16 August 2024, closing at 11:59 PM.
  7. Intellectual Property:
    • All works submitted will remain the intellectual property of the individual entrants, except for the winning entry.
    • The winning entry will become the property of Chery South Africa and may be used in a national advertising campaign with no further compensation to the winner or winners other than the prize of a R250 000 scholarship.
  8. Prizes:
    • First Prize: R250,000 bursary towards tuition at an accredited tertiary institution and a one-year internship at Chery South Africa.
    • The bursary is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. It covers only tuition fees.
    • The winner must remain enrolled with satisfactory academic progress and provide annual transcripts to Chery South Africa to maintain the scholarship. In order for the scholarship to remain in effect the winner must ensure that they maintain the tertiary intuitions required pass rate throughout their studies.
  9. Selection Process:
    • A shortlisting of finalists will be conducted by Chery South Africa and their advertising agency which will be announced on 23rd of August 2024, on Youth Day.
    • The winner will then be selected from the shortlist by Chery South Africa and a panel of advertising industry experts.
  10. Winner Notification and Announcement:
    • The shortlisted 10 entries will need to present their concepts in person or over Microsoft Teams if they reside outside of Johannesburg on the 30th of August 2024. The winner will be announced on the 30th of August 2024 following the presentations.
    • Announcements will be made on Chery’s website, social media platforms, and other media outlets.
    • The winner will be notified by email and/or telephone and/or in person.
    • If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 30 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize and pick a replacement winner. Should the winner not qualify to attend a tertiary institution or does not meet the requirements listed in the terms and conditions above, a replacement winner will be selected at Chery South Africa’s discretion.
  11. Publicity:
    • The winner agrees to the use of his/her/their name and image in any publicity material related to the Chery Scholarship Challenge. The winner agrees that their winning concept and all related artwork, copy, video and all visual submissions relating to the winning concept are the property of Chery International and may be used in any execution relating to marketing actives for Chery International and their dealer network.
    • Participants consent to Chery South Africa processing their personal information in accordance with South African data protection legislation for the purposes of the competition.
  12. General:
    • The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice due to any event outside of the promoter’s control. Changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible.
    • The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  13. Acceptance of Rules: Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  14. Non-Affiliation: This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, any social media platform or other external entity aside from Chery South Africa.
  15. Modification of Rules: The promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions. Such changes shall be effective immediately upon posting to the website.
  16. Right to Cancel: The promoter also reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.
